The Feline Guests are still here!!

The Lions are still very close to RiverBend Lodge.

We had some Guests who stayed here recently whilst we noticed that the Lioness (Jess) was showing some signs of lameness - well we are happy to report that she is well and we will soon be posting a photograph of her greeting one of the males yesterday morning, taken by Darlington Chaonwa.

In the meantime these are a few images taken this morning.

News of the Big Cats at RiverBend Lodge

Our Guests didn't have to drive too far this morning to get a sighting of the Lions......they were lying right at the Gate!!
Darlington managed to take some photographs and this one shows Long Hope Villa in the background.

An hour or two later some of the Elephants walked the exact same path (only in the opposite direction) as the Lions had done just a little while earlier!

Another extremely interesting (and exciting) development is that Joe Pringle has, for the second time in a few months picked up fresh Leopard tracks......!! We have always known that there are Leopards in the Nyathi Concession, nevertheless it is wonderful to have this confirmed.

Delightful sightings at RiverBend Lodge

We are having regular sightings of a family of Bat Eared Foxes at RiverBend Lodge and we have managed to capture a few images of these delightful, but shy and elusive creatures.
